St. George is an Orthodox temple built in late antiquity in the architectural form of Rotunda in Sofia, Bulgaria.
It is located in the inner yard between the buildings of the Balkan Hotel and the Presidency at a level a few meters lower than the modern Sofia streets.
Considered the oldest preserved building in the city, it was built at the beginning of the 4th century, not later than the time when Sofia was the residence of Emperors Galerius and Constantine the Great.
In the temple a Christian Orthodox liturgy is daily performed in an ancient liturgical language - Old Bulgarian, and the chants are performed in the typical for the ancient Orthodox Church - Eastern churches singing, known as Bulgarian and Byzantine.
